 Department INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY 
Primary purpose of job1. Provide solution specification , design and configuration details by analyzing business requirements and usingknowledge base and research to prepare RFQ’s and tenders to procure, install and commission servers, racks, cabling and server Operating Systems (OS) and software2. Provide 1st. and 2nd level support through problem diagnosis and resolutions by analyzing server performance, capacity management tools, diagnostic tools and vendor support contract to take timely action to ensure continuous system availability.3. Obtain documentation & training for the above systems through vendor liaison and workshops to maintain aknowledgebase required to support installed systems.4. Monitor, improve and implement processes and procedures through diagnostics, analyses and best practices to reducesystem downtime and loss of data.5. Minimize administration tasks by automating processes using tools and scripting to improve on performance and fullresource utilization.6. Enable testing and development environments, when required, by means of providing system requirements to ensure anisolated work area that can be used to simulate a production environment.7. Implement and update security related Servers Operating System by installing the appropriate patches/upgrades andkeep them up to date to minimize security breaches and meet auditor’s requirements.8. Manage server and OS licenses by maintaining a software catalogue to ensure timely renewal of licenses or cancellation of licenses.9. Provide technical expertise to other divisions by participating in task forces and project teams to share technical knowledge with other team members.10. Submit problem incident reports to software and hardware manufacturers by means of a predefined method to requestsuggestions and/or resolutions for problems for which no remedy exists at hand.11. Ensure 2nd and 3rd level support for server infrastructure environment through experience gained from hands-on
training and constant updating of knowledgebase along with vendor and peers support to resolve short, medium, and longterm issues to achieve and improve user satisfaction.
 Experience & Skills• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in a directly related field, including at least 4 years of technical experience inserver infrastructure environment.• Thorough understanding of the state-of-the-art servers, operating systems, monitoring & reporting tools and bladetechnologies by means of ongoing research to maintain knowledge of the latest technology trends in sever area• Adapt toand quickly learn new technologies and products such as virtualization, consolidation and grid/blade.• Establish and allocate resources by studying business requirements to form project teams.• Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot, monitor and performance tuning for Operating Systems (including Windows, AIX,RedHat, etc..), Active Directory, Microsoft System Center, SQL/Oracle, ERP Systems, and Virtualization Infrastructure systems (such as VM ware and Hyper-V)• Desirable to have at least one of Microsoft MCSE, UNIX/Linux Administration, Blade Server, virtualization , Converged /Hyper converged Infrastructure training/certification.• Analyse and Implement security, patch management on server systems, server applications, virtualization software.• Experience in Microsoft SCCM administration, application packaging and deployment.• Experience in Microsoft SCOM administration, monitoring for both Windows and Linux environments.• Good working knowledge of scripting technologies like Windows Power shell, vb script, etc to automate administrative tasks.• Good understanding of data center networking, virtual infrastructure networking, security implementation and administration• Good understanding of storage technologies like SAN, NAS, Windows File and Print services.• Good understanding of backup software (preferably TSM) and SAN connectivity.• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.• Good verbal, written, and presentation skills
Education• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related Engineering field or Management Information Systems
